Target Records (1966-1967)

The earliest releases by Target went out on plain yellow labels, almost exactly like the previous Golden Catalinas singles on their personal Knight imprint. With one exception (The 13th Hour,) these discs also follow a similar cataloging scheme, and were manufactured at the Wakefield record pressing plant in Phoenix, AZ. Wakefield was a popular option due to their low minimum order quantity and fast turnaround.

However, once Tee Pee Records was established, Target began ordering discs exclusively through RCA's custom pressing division until late in 1968, when they went back to Wakefield for the remaining mainline Tee Pee discs, and the two-tone blue label Target singles.

Releases from 1970 onward tend to switch back and forth based on label series. Pricing and fulfillment times were likely the reason for orders going to one or the other vendor.
