Target Records (T-1000 "Blue" series, 1969-1970)

In 1969, Target updated their label design and logo. The new two-tone blue label design ran through mid-1970 across 15 releases, and the cursive script logo was incorporated into a few other 1970 releases as well, before another style was implemented.
This was Target's most sucessful period in terms of placing their artists on a national stage. Love Society and the Wrest both had their records reissued with major labels, and Soup's live reputation got them a one album deal in 1971 with Big Tree Records.
The label even saw a reissue of its own, repressing Larry Lee Phillipson's 1967 self-released single "Blackboard of my Heart/Barney" in an effort to get it a wider audience.
